The Jewish holiday of Purim is approaching rapidly, a welcome ray of light in dark times. The festival commemorates the story of Queen Esther, the brave Jewish woman who stood up to antisemitism and saved her people at great personal risk. The holiday takes place in the lunar month of Adar (actually Adar 2, since this year is a leap year!), and tradition demands that we increase our joy throughout the entire month.
